The client requested a 1920s style mural for their dining room. Imagery ideas were provided by the client, however I did more research into 1920s dress and dance moves for an accurate interpretation.
“No words can express how beyond elated my husband and I are with Jane’s work!. Jane painted our dining room wall with this 1920s style mural that is simply stunning. It is an honour to have her work in our house and we are seriously in awe. The beautiful colours and layering of different tones creates a depth that makes you feel you are inside the painting. There are so many little touches and fine detail that add interest which all flows perfectly. We just cannot stop looking at it, taking in all the detail.
Besides the outstanding quality of her art, Jane is a really lovely lady, very professional, timely, communicative, tidy and a pleasure to work with. She truly has a gift and we are so grateful to be able to share this. Thank you Jane.”

The theme was importance of education, growth and worship. The brief was set by those within the community at Crosland Moor who run and work in the centre. I depicted the imagery and words from the brief with Van Gogh inspired brushstrokes as I love how they flow and give depth to the space.

The brief was to illustrate 10 6m x 3m bays with murals for a brand new Street food Hall in kingsgate Shopping centre, Huddersfield. The brand- ‘Street Eats‘ Uses a magenta and yellow colour palette which I teamed with white and black. With this being such a large scale mural and with a short time scale to complete it in, I created abstract shapes and Filled them with quirky black line drawings of Street food, Food quotes and characters eating! They really stand out and create a uniform, clean feel to the food hall.

The client requested a Harry Potter mural complete with Hedwig and scattered Hogwarts letters painted directly onto a navy blue wall. Part of this commission also included the up-cycling of a set of drawers. Using acrylics, eggshell and varnish, I transformed the drawers into suitcases! The client then sourced and added the knobs & handles.

Romeo & Juliet mural hand painted with written quotes.
The client provided me with an image that she wanted me to create from a photo of a building with a huge outdoor mural. I took elements from this to make it fit in the wall space

Project 1: the brief was to decorate 3 large boxes used for storing books as little libraries to be situated within the school grounds for the community to use. The themes were chosen by the school children. I took elements from the 3 themes; Roald Dahl books, Tom Gates books and Harry Potter books and painted all sides with colourful illustrations. They were then sealed with yacht varnish ready to be kept outdoors.
